Hey everyone. I know its been a couple of weeks. Sigh..... I think I have lost my groove blogging. I'm sure it's only temporary though. Now that I have been doing this over five years, I can't give it up now. Eh, you know how it is when your life is the same day in and day out. Let's see if I can come up with any interesting highlights from the past 2 weeks.

Still going to the gym on a daily basis. Still doing the gluten free thing and it's going well. My knees, that's another story though. They aren't horrible but not great. Looking into some alternative therapies before I head to the Orthopedist.

Last week saw Friday the 13th with a friend from work. It was great, scared the shit out of us so bad we couldn't stop laughing. GO see it if you love horror films.

My love life still sucks. May have to call in reserves because it's getting to the point where I just need some physical affection. That's the only bad thing about being single. Self love is ok but it's just not the same.....

My new addiction....True Blood. I've always known Vamps are sexy. Got hooked on them years ago reading the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series by Laurell K Hamilton. Now I can watch it on tv with full on naked goodness (well except for the guys, dammit) Twilight is for teenyboppers. And, I just found out the shows lead characters (Sookie and Bill) are dating in real life. That is cool. They are so hot onscreen.

Work is going fine. Not busy, but not too slow. Speaking of which, shit, it's getting late and I gotta go before I am late.

Tying one on....

Partially inspired by the B.E.D.'s last entry and partially inspired by my friends Barb and Doug, I got a little idea for a pic. Being a girly girl, I don't have any real ties but I managed to fashion one out of a sash I have. Don't know how long this will be here but well it is. Sadly enough though, due to the recent loss in my life (15 lbs), the lingerie isn't fitting quite as snugly as it used to and you can only adjust things so much. But being the shopaholic I am only gives me the go ahead to restock. ;-)

Gorgeous day here in SoFla. What am I doing? Laundry. How fun. I did manage to toss off two loads already (hahaha, that sounds totally like something my bud Dickbar would say) So I have it in my right (or left) mind to chuck the rest and head out to get some fresh air and sunshine. It really is so nice out. Clear blue skies and 78 degrees at the mo. Hmmm what to do what to do....

I didn't go to the gym this morning. I decided to give my knees a rest. They weren't hurting but I just had a feeling they could use some time off. On my way home yesterday I saw a Hyundai with a plate that read DATRADR. Made me think of Steve AND DB. But we all know DB wouldn't be caught dead in a Hyundai. I always keep an eye out for funny vanity plates. Steve has inspired me. I really wish I could have gotten a pic of the one I saw of the pink Camaro with her name on both sides AND the plate with the HUGE Hello Kitty on the back window. A good chuckle indeed.

I survived VD. I may not have been all giddy happy in love but I sure dressed like I was for work yesterday. We have an all black dress code at work but we may accessorize with color. Well of course I used red yesterday and got MANY a compliment. So it brought on the smiles even tho inside my heart had on a big fat frown. Oh well.....

Here we are at Monday again. Right. Ok. Now what? lol, just playing.

Had a pretty good weekend. Saturday went out for dinner and shopping with one of my HS chums. Picked up a new pair of trainers (when the hell did I suddenly become British? hahahaha) Sneakers for the gym I mean. I think I have traded in my addiction for cute, sexy, and strappy for sturdy, supportive, and comfort. I'm all about shoes for the gym now. I have more pairs than I really need but it seems I'm trading off one addiction for another (what else is new?)

Also in gym news, got on the scale this morning and I am down another 4 pounds! Woo Hoo!!!! Im really counting it as 5 (well really 7) because I forgot to get on the scale BEFORE I put on my spinning shoes AND it's that time of the month so Im kind of bloated hehehehe But imagine my shock when I saw it was that much! Oh happy day. And I am doing so well too. I haven't hardly strayed at all off my eating plan. I'm so proud of myself. I know I keep saying I'm going to take new piccies but really I am going to do it this week. I HAVE to because I really want to see the change. And plus it will keep me motivated. My new nickname at the gym is "slim" hehehehe I love my crew there.

Yesterday I watched 10 things I hate about you. I guess it was one of Heath Ledger's early movies. It made me miss him. And then I watched later on Eastern Promises. It was ok. Viggo Mortensen + Russian accent = Mmmmmmmm! But it had one of those ending that was like D'OH! I hate endings that leave you hanging and feeling unfinished even though it kind of was. I suppose I'll hit the library today and pick up some more movies.

Not much going on today. Going later to the acupuncturist and now just trying to find some motivation to sort my laundry and get some out of the way before I head out. Have a good Monday, all.

Morning pimps and hos, how goes it. Up early for Spin as per usual. Killer class today as our fearless leader is up in NY for a work conference. I know it's good to do different but sometimes different can just wipe you out. Ugh! And the music....You HAVE to have good music. It's key. Too much mellow this morning and only a few good songs in the second half. Wasn't a total loss but jeez! Oh well.

Good news, down another three pounds so that makes a total of 10 lbs in 3 weeks. Happy happy....

Last night I watched Lars and the real girl. I don't know what to say about it.... Hmmmm. It was good I suppose. Kind of quirky. We'll just leave it at that. I also got Blood Diamond, Casino Royale, 10 things I hate about you, and Eastern Promises. So will have a few good days of movie watching coming up. The book I wanted wasn't in so that blew. I did get this one though that I had read the review I think in People magazine. It's called Conversations with the fat girl. About 2 friends since elementary school, both chubsters then kind of lose touch for a few years and get back but one has had the gastric bypass "in search of the elusive size 2." So should be an interesting read. I was never heavy enough (thank GOD) to ever qualify for that surgery even though we all know there are doctors out there who will bend the rules. But even at my heaviest I only ever considered it for a little while. The thing is, most of the people I know that have had it, usually have a worse life afterwards. And so many have gained back. I know maybe less than five people where the surgery worked and they have had minimal complications. I'm glad I'm taking the hard way because you know what? It makes the success even sweeter. Which is funny because normally I AM the one who takes the easy way out. Lessons learned my friends, lessons learned!
